Halloween post: NMBC!

One of my favorite movies EVER is Nightmare before Christmas. I love all the songs, have a ton of that juicy merch and have designed some spiffy nail art just for Halloween!
I did the main characters really.
Jack, Sally, blank that was supposed to be burlap sack oogie but.... and oogie on the moon.
Barrel, the hill, Jack, Sally
Mayor sad face, Mayor happy face, Lock, shock and barrel!

I had fun doing these!
especially sally and the mayor.  I love details.
Barrel is lopsided but its the design that counts!
I was thinking of pre-painting these onto fake nails and selling them? or something like that.
I know i have NMBC fake nail stickers I can use for Halloween, I got it from Claires last year I believe. super cute. Almost dun wanna use it though xD
maybe they'll have them again this year!

TTFN!
next? Book themes? more halloween? Or fall? idk we'll seeeee!

Xbox Controller Nails:Tutorial!

Tutorial Time!
One of my favorite past times in gaming. Especially on my Xbox 360. (User= Welldweller)
So I decided to show my love by designing some nail art!
So first you need your colors:

A Matte Coat is needed for this tutorial, Then a Grey, Black, Yellow, red, Blue, Green, and White.
(Don't forget the Base Coat!)
and a detail brush!
There are five designs to choose from !
So lets get started.
Paint your five colors Which is Grey(China Glaze Elephant walk), Yellow(China Glaze Solar Powered),
Red (OPI Big Apple Red), Blue (OPI Ogre the top Blue), White First (China Glaze White on White), and Then my green was very sheer neon over it (Sinful colors Irish Green).
Then a coat or two of Matte Top Coat. (OPI Matte Envy).
Paint a green kind of roundish x over the grey, and to simulate the player lights I painted the green lines around with spaces in between. Then I used white for the letters first and then!
Paint over them with the colors! It lets them stand out even more.
No Top coat is needed since you need the effect.
and thats it!
Pretty easy and shows off your gamer love!
I hope to rock these soon!
I also assume they'll look more even on smaller nails rather than a nail wheel.
I'll post the results !

Nail art Template

Original size. So I made this to print, just simple to draw in designs to put to nail wheels. I generally draw the nails out but I like a template much better. I put lines next to it to give titles or ideas/themes. I didn't really work on any designs yesterday so I think I will today. After a vigorous search for my iPod again ....
It fits on the paper in MS Paint at 80% of original size
even though the canvas was supposed to be 8.5x11in but maybe I'll scan in the designs next to the nail wheels so we can see the process , its also good to see if I ever improve.
So please save and try it out for yourself! If you can improve lemme know and see the new template!

Manicures of the week

I rocked this mani at my friends birthday party this last weekend and it made me think of Easter mostly.
China Glaze Aquadelic and Brownstone.

I had this mani about Wednesday and it chipped badly because I had to remove stickers so it was removed in a day. :(
China Glaze techno teal and Laser Lime
(elecTRONica collection)

My current manicure and my favorite blue is from the OPI Nicki Minaj  collection fly and the french tip is Metallic 4 Life.

I've noticed this trend of glitter french tips or french tip fading which looks really nice so my current mani reflects that. I think for my next mani will either be stamping or trying craft glitter on my nails.I need to buy a new white which means buying my favorite white, that is, China Glaze White on White, always so opaque and a very smooth white.
The craft glitter I have makes me think of Valentines day though so I may just be preparing a future post on that, but I do want to start the pink on Wednesdays so the glitter may look good for that.
I've also been using seche vite as a top coat and I used to not like it very much, but its great for evening out nail art and it is very fast drying.
Also I really need to remember to take pictures in the daylight, shows the color so much better but ost days are so foggy it doesn't even matter.....
I'm also working on my blog layout so it'll be more customized to my style and going to link to my friends blogs! or any favorites I have but mostly my friends.
I've been watching Grimm on hulu and may have to do some Grimm fairy tale themed art and I definitely need to do some  Disney designs, mostly Disneyland inspired but I will do my favorite classics.
SO I need more nail wheels!!
So there is my manis of this week since I will probably be keeping my current all weekend.

More to come!
