Pink Wednesday #2 Neon!

My second Pink Wednesday and Neons are coming in to fashion again so I did my Sinful colors Pink, which is very neon-ific. I need multiple colors so i did a black french tip. I had used Pumpkin glow in the dark pink over it from Halloween but it doesn't glow :( I'm hoping its just old and not a rip off.

I used Gelous Base Coat, Sinful Colors Pink, Pumpkin Glow in the Dark Pink , Sinful Colors Black on Black and Sally Hansen Strengthening Top Coat.

Yes two weeks in a row! I'm getting better at my blogging or maybe just getting less lazy about it.

Mani: Silver and Gold

In celebration of the Olympics FINALLY ending (while the Olympics are great and I love that USA won) I find it incredibly boring to watch, usually because Basketball was on, but finally we are free and can celebrate victory!
So OPI Warm and Fozzie
OPI Skull and Glossbones with China Glaze Hologram over it.
I actually kept my last mani for a while and got quite a few compliments on it,it made me happy and excited to tell people the wonders of a simple make up sponge. :3

Looking Forward:
All I can say is I've seen swatches of the O.P.I. Skyfall collection and I can say I want them!
Live and Let die is beautiful and the world is not enough is a fab golden glitter apparently with a hint of duo-chrome :D

I look forward to being able to purchase the German collection as well, (being German myself and having been there I can say I was quite excited when I heard of it I'll be trying them out as soon as I can get some!)

On another note! I've created a blog for fitness!
I have a lofty goal of 109 pounds total to happiness but we will see what I can actually do.
You can see it Here:
also I made this the other day and wanted to share my #firstworldproblems

well that is what I have today, I'll be posting my reviews of some cheap masks I found at Wal-Mart soon!

Mani: Make Up sponges

It is NOT cleaned up, but I was messing around thinking of what to do and I started messing with a make up sponge....and doing a french tip and I was like Yay!
I saw a pretty dress in the green and blue colors and decided that was the color combo I wanted.
OPI Mermaids Tears and Ogre the Top Blue were the closest I had to the colors.
Sponges are so much fun, they give such cool effects, speckles, fading and the like.
I was thinking it would be great for blood splatter effects for Halloween or Dexter nails.
I had wanted m effect to be more....precise but I wasn't trying hard....
BUT! If you don't have make-up sponges I sincerely suggest you get some.
Great for make up, nail art arts, and crafts and whatever else I love having them.
Now, I used Seche Vite for a top coat and it spread the french tip coat and made some the specks go away which was sad so I'll have to experiment with dryness to top coat I guess.
I have been drawing designs and I will be putting them to nail when I get some Nail Wheels, I think my next Mani will be more Rave attire appropriate as I may be attending one Saturday. I guess.
We will see.
Fare thee Well Readers.
Also One follower! Whoo hoo I'm hitting the big time
Thanks friend! :3

Manicures of the week

I rocked this mani at my friends birthday party this last weekend and it made me think of Easter mostly.
China Glaze Aquadelic and Brownstone.

I had this mani about Wednesday and it chipped badly because I had to remove stickers so it was removed in a day. :(
China Glaze techno teal and Laser Lime
(elecTRONica collection)

My current manicure and my favorite blue is from the OPI Nicki Minaj  collection fly and the french tip is Metallic 4 Life.

I've noticed this trend of glitter french tips or french tip fading which looks really nice so my current mani reflects that. I think for my next mani will either be stamping or trying craft glitter on my nails.I need to buy a new white which means buying my favorite white, that is, China Glaze White on White, always so opaque and a very smooth white.
The craft glitter I have makes me think of Valentines day though so I may just be preparing a future post on that, but I do want to start the pink on Wednesdays so the glitter may look good for that.
I've also been using seche vite as a top coat and I used to not like it very much, but its great for evening out nail art and it is very fast drying.
Also I really need to remember to take pictures in the daylight, shows the color so much better but ost days are so foggy it doesn't even matter.....
I'm also working on my blog layout so it'll be more customized to my style and going to link to my friends blogs! or any favorites I have but mostly my friends.
I've been watching Grimm on hulu and may have to do some Grimm fairy tale themed art and I definitely need to do some  Disney designs, mostly Disneyland inspired but I will do my favorite classics.
SO I need more nail wheels!!
So there is my manis of this week since I will probably be keeping my current all weekend.

More to come!

Favorite Manicure Items!

I may not have perfected the manicure but I have my favorite tools and so here they are!
Left to right, up and down
My Nail Polish remover, I always use acetone but its terribly drying.
Nail Tees are a wonderful discovery at Sally's Beauty Supply perfect for people like me who still get polish every where.
Cotton Puffs! Oh lord these are the best cotton puffs I have come across! They were recommended to me by a nail polish obsessed friend and I will Never look back!
They come from Daiso, if you ever find one of these magical $1.50 stores I strongly encourage you to go inside.  http://www.daisojapan.com/
They are available in California and Washington.
Now my cuticle oil, I got in a set with a buffing block and lotion, was a nice set and all.
I put the oil on a cotton swab and rub on my nails, let it sit for a little bit and rub it off with the other end. Sometimes I rub a little rubbing alcohol for a bit of a dehydrating effect but not really.
Nail cutters, any will do. I swear I'm constantly losing these so I try to keep it in the same place as the other tools.
The small silver is the end of my dotting tool that broke off so i need to glue it on -_-; works well for eyes and the like.
The brushes I use for detail work the left one bent, easy for some details and my small brush I usually use.
My Cuticle pusher/scraper. I adore it works like a charm.
Scotch tape for stripes, nail "stickers" and the like, Always very useful!
More brushes! Havent used them yet but they are lovely.
Tweezers usually used for jewels and glitter placement, also gotten at Daiso, they have the cutest stuff I swear!
Lush Potion Lotion. A lovely lotion from a lovely company
It was discontinued when I had bought it years ago but it seems they brought it back again and I super urge you to get some of your own, the smell is wonderful and feels great, it can be a little greasy but I found since my cuticle area gets so dry I need that little bit extra and its lasted me so long!
And lastly my cute file! It has penguins from Christmas and those are my favorite animals. Wenk.

Picture of my Daiso puffs Box
you get two boxes together and they are very lovely.
I use them for my cucumber pads as well. Very nice for tired eyes. A tut from Michele Phan I saw
Make cucumber Juice, soak pads in juice, squeeze out excess and put flat in a ziplock baggie (not overlapping) and freeze , let thaw before use (about 10-30 minutes) and keep on eyes for 10.  Feels lovely and keeps those pesky dark circles away. Plus I think cucumber smells fantastic! (can't stand to eat it though)

See you next time!
